Flowering in Winter ....

How amazing, this flower popped out of a somewhat straggly looking succulent this week.
It seems to like the cold, rainy weather!
Nuts!!
(Apparently it was the coldest morning in many years the other day).
I say 'brrrr', the succulent says 'yummy!'
At least it won't be fighting me for front row heater position.

Sneezy ....

I've been sneezing a bit (and snoring quite loudly) lately,
so when last night I was also walking a bit sideways,
my humans got worried and took me to the vet today.

One of the attendants commented on how handsome I am.
They also expressed how fit I look for my age.
AND I've put on weight.

(Flattery will get you everywhere and anywhere with me ;))

Draught Horse Memorial ....

In a town called Nhill, there is a memorial to the draught horse in their main street.

You go through Nhill on the way from Melbourne to Adelaide, (or vice versa).
Some other road trip photos:

wooo!

Taken out the window - we were going reasonably fast ;)
Kinda like this one though.

AFL Round 15 ....

Well, it's time to play our nemesis.
Even several years ago, when we hadn't lost a game all season ... they did us.
Saints v Bombers.
Even their colours are similar.
urp.
The good news is it is sunny here today, (although that could change any second).
So I've got my t shirt out and will concentrate on positive thinking.
Despite the history, I know we can come good.
GOOOO SAINTERS!!!!!!!!

Fun With Paper Bags ....

I'm looking a little worried because I feel I may be separated prematurely from my new paper bag.

Here's a close up of the big hole I chewed into it.
It was great fun!!

Yay!!  I was allowed to sit on it as long as I liked.
I recommend paper bags for:
chewing
ripping
sleeping on
making crinkly noises to annoy humans
Just the best for anyone who enjoys any or all of the above.

The Lemon ....

An update on the lemon growing on the tree on my balcony ....
After possibly the longest gestation period in history, it is finally turning yellow.
I can't say how excited I am!!!!
It is the only bud ever to get this far, and has been working towards this peak since
September 2011.
Hopefully it will be ready to pick by the end of the month.
