AFL Round 14 ....

Saint Kilda are playing North Melbourne tomorrow afternoon.

It's a home game for Saints.

I hope we can pencil this one in with a win to keep our spot in the top 8.

But it is easier said than done.

Our matches against North in the past have frequently included a bit of biffo.

So hopefully our players will stay cool and no one will get suspended.

Community Cup Footy ....

A pretty good crowd showed up for the Community Cup on Sunday.

Paul Kelly coached the Rock Dogs.

Blue Ruin played out the final set, and one of my humans even won one a prize in the cheerleaders raffle!!

(Some vinyl, some CD's a TShirt and guitar strings!!  woo hoo!!)

Cold, Wet, Feet ....

I stepped in a puddle and my paws got wet.

My humans gave them a rub down first...

Then I completed the job.

Sometimes you just have to do it yourself if you want it done right.

Although I must say my paw does not look like it's attached to my body in this photo.

Security Brief ....

I'm feeling pretty mellow and relaxed.

Blissing out in front of the heater after a busy day looking after the flat.

I did my job.  All secure.

I was in charge while my humans went to the Community Cup footy match today.

Always a good day, with proceeds going to charity.

Local muso's (Espy Rock Dogs) play against community radio star DJ's (Mega Hurtz).

Final score today - it was a draw!!!  Final score - 35 points a piece.

(Brings back memories of an AFL Grand Final not that long ago which was also tied ... sigh ....)

This is where Bonnie Doon is on the map.

In 2006, the Saints had their mid season bye break in Bonnie Doon.

None of this fancy high altitude training in the States for them.

There has always remained some mystery as to what did actually go on.

AFL Round 13 ....

Well, it's a bye round for the AFL St Kilda Football Club this week.

We are hanging on to 8th position by a thread.

If luck is on our side, (and why wouldn't it be?) we will stay there.

Paws crossed.

Because of the bye, I have a guest, 'Peaches' the cat who takes after my own heart and

shows impeccable taste by supporting the NFL New Orleans Saints in the USA.

Looks like she has just laid a tackle to possess the ball in this photo.

My Friend, The Heater ....

In these days of winter, this heater is my friend.

We have bonded closely this winter and are spending a lot of quality time together.

I'm Back ....

I'm back after a short break, and doing one of my favourite things.

Sitting in a box.

This activity ties with sitting on and ripping up bits of paper (or paper bags) as

one of my top 10 things to do. 

Whatever is also in the box is heavily scrutinised.

(Please note all fresh foods are scrubbed before human consumption).

OK, it's all looking pretty good.  The check is over.

However I think I'll just hang out here with the veggies for a while.

They smell nice and I like it here.. 

AFL Round 12 ....

A nerve wracking night ahead with Saint Kilda v Adelaide Crows in Adelaide.

This is going to be one tough game.

So I'm hiding under my scarf with my paws fully crossed.

I am confident this will help the Saints prevail.

I'm feeling a little put upon with this whole situation.

I'm feeling pretty spic & span.

And happy it's all over for another few weeks.

Guest Foot Fetishist ....

I have a human friend 'J' who lives with a cat called Sebastian.

My humans went to visit them recently, and Sebastian has shown himself to 

have a bit of a foot fetish.

You can see here that Sebastian has clamped himself on to one of my human's boots.

In my opinion, he polished it up really rather nicely.

It's nice to see such attention to detail.

AFL Round 11 ....

Well, the lads are playing the Gold Coast this afternoon, (up north).

I hope they had a pleasant trip up yesterday and got lots of sleep.

I think we will do well, but the Saints will have to harness GAblett.

No doubt Jones will stick to him like glue, he's been doing a great job tagging this year.

*clears throat*  'Oh when the Saints .. Go marching in .. Oh when ..'

My ribbon bow is now a little limp, as am I.

Diamond Jubilee Style ....

With reference to QEII's Diamond Jubilee, I thought I'd rise to the occasion.

Here I am wearing my gold ribbon bow to the side.

I feel there is a massive resemblance in this photo.

And I'm am feeling extremely elegant and refined.

I never knew my 'birth' parents, but they must have been classy.

At least I don't have pesky Korgi's under my feet.

Here I am tucking in to some Greek Style yogurt.

Normally I love the fruit flavoured varieties more, but I couldn't get enough of this one.

There's nothing like taking a nap with you head twisted upside down.

I may not look comfortable, but I have it on good authority that I was fast asleep.

Eyes open, but I had no idea where I was.

So I just stayed put till I figured it out.

I am holding it in, but inside I'm a nervous wreck.

We are playing Richmond tonight, at Docklands Stadium.

Last year we tied.

Can't get any closer than that.
